Book for the World Intellectual Property Day Conference 2023 - Friday 21 April 2023

This year’s conference will be held in person at the Mackenzie Building, Edinburgh, and online via Zoom.

In-person registration on the day opens at 11.30am for a 12 pm start, with tea and coffee on arrival.

Open to all advocates, solicitors, devils, trainees, students and other professionals with an interest in IP, it will be chaired by Roisin Higgins KC, an IP law specialist, and Graeme McWilliams, retired in-house lawyer and former IP manager at Standard Life.

This year, for World IP Day, the World Intellectual Property Organisation has chosen the theme of ‘Women & IP : Accelerating Innovation and Creativity '. We are delighted to welcome two guest speakers who are well-placed to help us celebrate this theme:

Laura Edison, Director & General Counsel, Skyrora, whose talk is titled: “It’s not rocket science…actually, it is!”, and Leigh Kirkpatrick, Managing Legal Counsel (Outsourcing, Technology and IP), Royal Bank of Scotland.
