21st Century Bar Conference 2024 
Maintaining Privacy in a Public World

This event will be in-person only, with all talks recorded for CPD accessibility. The conference will begin with a Keynote Address by The Rt. Hon. Lady Wise.

The Morning Session will follow, including talks and a panel session on the conference’s theme from a range of internal and external speakers, including Fergus Whyte (Advocate), William Malcolm (Legal Privacy Lead @ Google), and Steph Wright (Lead @ Scottish AI Alliance). 

The Afternoon Session shall include legal update sessions followed by Q&A on Contract Law (Giles Reid, Advocate), Legal Privilege (Alannah McGinley, Advocate), and Public Law (Paul Reid, K.C.).

The conference shall be co-chaired by Usman Tariq K.C. and Graeme McWilliams.

This event will attract 3.75hrs Substantive Law CPD and 1hr Practice Development CPD.
